I'd strongly recommend that you purchase the Suzuki factory manual for the Savage. It's very good, lots of photos and charts etc., and will help out with all kinds of questions you may have about your bike. It sells for about $50, with all supplements for every Savage model year. The Clymer manual is also excellent, similar to the factory but different enough to warrant another $30. The combination of both manuals should cover just about anything you'll encounter with these machines.
